Refuse
The City contracts for residential refuse service and
residents sign up and pay for the size of containers they use.
Commercial/industrial property owners arrange for their own contracted
refuse service with private haulers licensed to operate in the City. The
City's refuse & recycling rates effective 1/1/2010 are:
35 gallons -1 container:
35 gallon (every other week) |

| All items must be clean, dry, bagged or bundled
and can be mixed with other items or they may be left at your curbside |

GLASS
|
Acceptable:
- Must be rinsed clean, but colors may be mixed
- Must remove covers and lid
Not Acceptable:
- Broken glass
- Windowglass, ceramics, dishes or drinking glasses, light
bulbs

PLASTIC
|
Acceptable:
- Must be rinsed clean
- Beverage containers, milk & water jugs
- Ice cream, margarine or whipped cream containers
- Oil bottles WITH COVERS ON
Not Acceptable:
- Medication containers or bottles
- Plastic bags, styrofoam, toys

PAPER
|
Acceptable:
- Bagged or bundled; clean & dry paper (including newspaper)
Not Acceptable:
- Wet paper or catalogs
- Envelopes

TIN
& ALUMINUM CANS

Acceptable:
- Must be rinsed clean
- Tin and aluminum must be separated

|
CARDBOARD
|
Acceptable:
- Must be bundled and tied in stacks not more than
2 feet x 2 feet
- Must be corrugated cardboard ONLY
- Minimal amounts accepted - driver will use discretion
