Description
The City of Annandale is considering the reconstruction of streets and utilities for Highland Street, Brown Avenue S, Willow Drive and Willow Circle. The project is planned for the summer of 2024.
Planned Improvements:
- Street Reconstruction of Highland Street, Brown Avenue South, Willow Drive and Willow Circle
- Total reconstruction of pavement section
- Concrete curb and gutter on all streets
- Sidewalk constructed on the North side of Highland Street.
- Sanitary Sewer Improvements
- Lining sanitary sewer pipe in project area
- New 4-inch sewer services
- Lining and rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes
- Watermain Improvements
- New 8-inch watermain, gate valves, hydrants, and water services
- Store Sewer Improvements
- New Polyvinyl Chloride Pipe (PVC)
- New concrete manholes
- New PVC catch basins
- New concrete curb and gutter
FAQ's
- Where should I put my garbage cans throughout construction?
- Garbage should be placed at the end of the driveways throughout the project. If the garbage truck is unable to reach them, the contractor will gather the bins and get them to a spot where they can be picked up, and bring them back to the resident’s home.
- How will mail be delivered?
- Mail will be delivered to temporary mailboxes located on Plymouth Avenue between Highland Street and Knollwood Street. Typically the Post Office will send out a notification about the change.
