We are excited to announce, the Annandale City Council approved the installation of a new playground at Big Woods Park (541 Ash Street East)! The playground will be an inclusive park and complement the existing ballfield and batting cage. The facilities will contain a tot lot, larger playground structure with slides and climbing equipment, and swings. There will also be sensory equipment including instrument chimes and a horizontal play structure with a gear, clock, and block panel. Please find the drawing of the new playground below.
In partnership with the Annandale Lion’s Club, the City anticipates installation of the park in early spring 2022. We can’t wait for you to see the finished product and hope you will visit in the spring.
