Project Description: The City of Annandale is considering the reconstruction of streets and utilities for Highland Street, Brown Avenue S, Willow Drive and Willow Circle. The project is planned for the summer of 2024.
2023 TH 24/Hemlock St Improvements
Project Update: The intersection at Hwy 24 and Hemlock Street will be open to traffic starting Friday, September 1st at 5pm

Project Description: The City of Annandale is working collaboratively with Minnesota Department of Transportation, Corinna Township, the Annandale Care Center and Annandale School District to complete improvements to the Hemlock Intersection at Highway 24 and perform street improvements from Highway 24 to County Road 6.
Utility Extension- County Road 183
Project Type: Utility Extension
Project Year: Construction Year - Summer 2023
Project Description: The City of Annandale is extending sewer and water service along County Road 183 from city limits to Nevens Avenue NW. The extension will immediately serve the Preserve at Lake John Development and will provide additional capacity for future connections to the City's sewer and water system.
Big Woods Park Improvement
Project Type: Park Improvement Project
Project Year: Construction Year - Spring 2022
Project Description: The City of Annandale in partnership with the Annandale Lions will be constructing a new playground system at Big Woods Park. The new addition to the park will contain tot lot, larger playground structure with slides and climbing equipment, and swings. There will also be sensory equipment including instrument chimes and a horizontal play structure with a gear, clock, and block panel.
The project is anticipated to be completed early spring 2022.
Downtown Plan Adopted May 2018
Project Type: Development of a City Planning Document
Project Year: Approved in 2018, plan used ongoing
Project Description: The Downtown plan was approved by the City Council in May 2018. This guiding document will help the council identify goals for the appearance of the streetscape including the sidewalk and amenities in the Downtown, as well as addressing topics such as the canopies, parking, and accessibility.
2020 Improvement Project
Project Type: Street and Utility Reconstruction Project
Project Year: Construction Year- 2020
Project Description: MnDot will be reconstructing Highway 24 through Annandale in 2020. The reconstruction includes new roadway, storm sewer, sidewalks and city sewer and water infrastructure. It also includes streetscape improvements for the downtown portion of the project.
The project is slated to start mid April and will be constructed in two phases.
