Wellhead Protection is a proactive approach to safeguard our drinking water. By identifying and controlling potential sources of pollution in the area that supplies water to these wells, the program helps ensure public health and avoids the high costs associated with cleaning contaminated water or drilling new wells.
In compliance with the Minnesota Wellhead Protection Rule (Minnesota Rules, Parts 4720.5100 to 4720.5590), the City of Annandale has created a comprehensive Wellhead Protection Plan.
