Police Reserves

Role of Reserve Officers

The Reserves are volunteers who provide support service to the residents of the city of Annandale. They supplement the police services that the department provides including riding with the Officers, traffic control, transporting citizens, public safety at community events and providing park/business checks.

The role of reserve officers include:

  • Reserve Officers will conduct themselves in a professional manner at the police station and anywhere while in uniform.
  • Attend events and provide support services during busy times.
  • Attend a monthly meeting
  • Be able to perform first aid in case of emergency.

Events

The busiest time of the year as an Annandale reserve is usually from early June to mid August but we do participate in events year round. During this time we attend many events in the area such as:

  • Bike Rodeo
  • 4th of July parade and carnival
  • High school graduation
  • Football games
  • National Night Out
  • Holiday Train
  • And many more

Along with events in our area, we also assist different area agencies and their reserve officers.
